Pricing
Every price is for a defined first version, so the number means something. The estimator uses exactly the rules on this page.
ADA Lab builds software at fixed prices. An automation starts at N$2,499.99, a system that replaces a spreadsheet at N$6,499.99, a booking or stock system at N$12,999.99 and a mobile app at N$34,999.99. The first conversation and a one-page scope are free. You pay in stages, and you own the code, the data and the accounts when the last stage is paid. Changes and small jobs outside a fixed price are N$424.99 an hour.
What each kind of system costs
The “from” price is the first version described in the last column, for up to five people. Larger teams and extras are priced below.
| What is built | Price | Usual time | The first version |
|---|---|---|---|
| Automation between tools you already use | From N$2,499.99 | 1 to 2 weeks | One repeated job done automatically, for example a form that fills a sheet and sends a message. |
| Clickable prototype of an idea | From N$3,999.99 | 1 to 2 weeks | Up to 8 screens you can tap through on a phone. |
| Dashboard and reports from data you already have | From N$5,499.99 | 2 to 3 weeks | Up to 3 sources joined: spreadsheets, exports or a database. |
| A system to replace a spreadsheet or paper form | From N$6,499.99 | 2 to 4 weeks | One main record, for example jobs, members, learners or stock items. |
| Bookings, orders or stock system | From N$12,999.99 | 4 to 6 weeks | Customers or staff place bookings or orders from a phone. |
| Customer or member portal | From N$19,999.99 | 5 to 8 weeks | People register and log in to their own account. |
| Business system for several departments | From N$24,999.99 | 6 to 10 weeks | Up to 4 connected parts, for example clients, jobs, invoices and stock. |
| Mobile app for Android and iPhone | From N$34,999.99 | 8 to 12 weeks | One app, built once, for Android and iPhone. |

What moves the price
Two things: how many people use the system, and what else it must do.
Number of people
| People using it | Effect on price | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 5 people | Included | The size every “from” price is based on. |
| 6 to 20 people | + 10% on the build | More roles to set up, and more people to train. |
| 21 to 100 people | + 25% on the build | More roles, more testing, and support for more people at launch. |
| More than 100, or the public | + 40% on the build | Sign-up for strangers, protection against misuse, and far more testing. |
Extras
| Extra | Adds | Adds to the time | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Take payments online | + N$4,999.99 | 1 week | Online payments need your own merchant account with a payment provider that works in your country. Their fees are separate and are paid to them. |
| Send SMS or WhatsApp messages automatically | + N$2,499.99 | Half a week | Automatic SMS and WhatsApp messages are charged per message by the provider. |
| Keep working when the internet drops | + 20% on the build | 1 week | Working offline means records are kept on the device and sent when the connection returns. We agree in the scope which screens need it. |
| Bring in old records from several files or another system | + N$1,999.99 | Half a week | Agreed in the scope. |
| Connect to another system (accounting, payroll, a device) | + N$4,499.99 | 1 week | A connection depends on the other system allowing one. We check that before quoting. |
| More than one branch or site | + 15% on the build | Half a week | Agreed in the scope. |
| A second language on the screens | + N$1,499.99 | Half a week | Agreed in the scope. |
| Extra reports as PDF or Excel | + N$1,999.99 | Half a week | Agreed in the scope. |
The range. The estimator shows the figure from these rules and a second figure 35% higher. Your written scope fixes one price between the two. A prototype is always N$3,999.99.
How you pay
Three stages, each tied to something you can see. Nothing is paid before you have approved a written scope.
- To start: when you approve the written scope
- Working version: when you have tried it yourself on your own phone or computer
- Launch: when it is live and your people have been shown how to use it
Builds under N$5,000 are paid in two halves: to start, and at handover.
What every build comes with
- The first conversation and a one-page scope, free
- Drawings of each screen before any code is written
- A demo on the real system every week or two
- Testing with your own people and your own records
- One training session, and a short written manual
- 30 days of fixes after launch at no charge
- The code, the data and the accounts handed over in your name
After launch: what it costs to keep running
Software is not finished on the day it launches. Something has to host it, watch it and change it when your work changes.
1. Hosting, paid to the providers
These accounts are opened in your name and you pay the providers directly. They are the services ADA runs its own systems on.
| What | Their price | In Namibian dollars | When it applies |
|---|---|---|---|
| Database and logins (Supabase Pro) | US$25 a month | About N$420 a month | A live system with real records. A free tier exists for testing. |
| Web hosting (Vercel Pro) | US$20 a month | About N$330 a month | A business system in daily use. The free tier is for non-commercial use. |
| Google Play developer account | US$25 once | About N$420, once | Only for an Android app in the Play Store. |
| Apple Developer Program | US$99 a year | About N$1,650 a year | Only for an iPhone app in the App Store. |
2. A care plan, if you want one
Optional. Without one, changes and fixes after the first 30 days are N$424.99 an hour.

What a build price does not cover
- Provider fees. Hosting, SMS and WhatsApp messages, payment processing and app store accounts are paid to those companies.
- Typing in old records. We import files. Capturing paper records by hand is quoted separately or done by your staff.
- Hardware. Phones, tablets, scanners and printers. ADA Tech can advise and set them up.
- A public website. A site that presents your business is built by ADA Web, from N$1,199.99.
- New ideas after the scope is signed. Welcome, and priced before they are built.
How this compares with published figures
We have not found a software company in Namibia that publishes its prices, so there is no local list to compare with. Two companies abroad publish estimates for this region:
| Published figure | What it says | ADA Lab |
|---|---|---|
| Dev Technosys, Namibia, July 2026 | A simple software project: R147,707 to R258,487. Developers: R276 to R461 an hour. | First versions from N$2,499.99. N$424.99 an hour. |
| PerfectionGeeks, South Africa, June 2026 | A simple mobile app: R50,000 to R100,000. Agencies: R500 to R1,500 an hour. | A mobile app from N$34,999.99. |
Questions about price
Why do you publish prices at all?
Because “it depends” is the answer that makes people give up on software. Each published price is for a defined first version, listed on this page, so you can tell whether a project is within reach before you talk to anyone.
Is the price fixed?
Yes, once the scope is written. The estimator gives a range. The scope gives one figure inside it. That figure changes only if you change what is being built, and the change is priced before it is done.
What if it takes you longer than planned?
Then it takes us longer, at the same price. A fixed price means the risk of our own estimate is ours. What is yours is the risk of changing your mind, which is why changes are priced separately.
What do I pay every month after launch?
Hosting, paid to the hosting companies at their published prices, in your name. Then a care plan, if you want one. You can also run the system yourself or with another developer, because you own the code and the accounts.
Do I own the software?
Yes. Once the last stage is paid, the code written for you, your data and the accounts it runs on are yours. We hand over the code, the logins and a short manual. What to check in any software agreement.
Can I pay monthly instead of in stages?
For builds above N$20,000 the stages can be spread across the months of the build. We do not offer credit, and work pauses if a stage is unpaid.
Do you charge for the first conversation?
No. The first conversation and a one-page scope are free. For larger systems a detailed specification costs N$1,499.99, and that amount comes off the build price if you go ahead.
Do you work for clients outside Namibia?
Yes. Scoping, demos and handover are done online. Prices are quoted in Namibian dollars, which are equal in value to the South African rand, and can be invoiced in US dollars on request.
Describe the problem. We will send back a scope.
Say what is slowing the work down and who is affected. You get a one-page scope in plain words: what would be built first, how long it takes and what it costs. It is free, and you owe nothing if you do not go ahead.
