Care plans
Software is closer to a vehicle than to a building. It runs, things around it change, and it needs someone who notices before it stops.
A care plan keeps a system healthy after launch. ADA Lab offers three: Watch at N$499.99 a month with 1 hour of changes, Keep at N$1,249.99 a month with 4 hours of changes, Grow at N$2,999.99 a month with 10 hours of changes. All include uptime watching, a monthly backup check and security updates. Plans are optional and can be cancelled with one month's notice. Without one, work is N$424.99 an hour.
What is covered
- Uptime watched around the clock
- Backups checked every month, by restoring one
- Security updates applied
- Hours of changes included each month
- A named person to contact
- A monthly note of what was done
- For systems we built, and ones we have taken over
- Cancel with one month's notice
When you need this
- The system matters to daily work and nobody is watching it.
- You want small changes without a new quote each time.
- Nobody has checked a backup since launch.
- Your work changes through the year and the system must keep up.
- The person who looked after it has left.

Common questions
Do unused hours carry over?
One month's unused hours carry into the next month, and then lapse. A plan is for steady upkeep. Larger pieces of work are quoted as their own job.
Is hosting included?
No. Hosting is paid by you directly to the hosting companies, in your name, at their price. That keeps the system yours and the costs visible. See the running costs.
Can I leave?
Yes, with one month's notice. You already hold the code and the accounts, so another developer can take over.
Do I need a care plan at all?
Not always. A small tool used by three people may be fine with fixes by the hour. A system that takes bookings or holds personal records should have someone watching it.
Describe the problem. We will send back a scope.
Say what is slowing the work down and who is affected. You get a one-page scope in plain words: what would be built first, how long it takes and what it costs. It is free, and you owe nothing if you do not go ahead.
